Opening and roundtable discussion:
April 13th, 2026 at 5 p.m on the topic "Women, Work and Money"

Shifting the Lens uses Photovoice to amplify voices from the Oworonshoki community in Lagos. By using the camera as a research tool, the project challenges traditional notions of power, knowledge, and representation.

The central theme, “Money” reflects value, exchange, daily life, and the desire for change. Photovoice empowers participants to capture their own realities, questioning hierarchical research structures and fostering a decolonial, gender- and intersectionally sensitive perspective on lived experiences.

* Event is free of charge and provides low-barrier access
