The University of Bayreuth Gradudate School (UBTGS) is an institution open to all doctoral candidates at the University of Bayreuth. It is a support and service institution for general aspects of doctoral training. It offers numerous interdisciplinary workshops in the qualification programme. All doctoral candidates can become members of the UBTGS, prerequisite is acceptance for doctorate by one of the Faculties, BIGSAS or BayNAT.

Common feedback is that a lot of the information members receive would be more valuable at a earlier stage of their doctorate. Therefore, we invite all new doctoral candidate to a short info & FAQ session to cover questions such as "what steps are mandatory?", "are there any deadlines to keep in mind?" or "do I have to be enrolled during the doctorate?"

Afterwards, there will be a get together / group dinner at Frischraum with a Representative

Registration is not mandatory, everyone interested is welcome to join and feel free to share this invitation with new colleagues. Also, be aware that both English and German can be spoken during the event, so don't worry if you don't speak German.
